Sam’s career began as a ski photographer in Whistler, British Columbia. The pursuit of rugged mountains and high adrenaline skiing led him to the Alps of France where a love of documenting the earth with a Large Format camera began. When a ski injury took him away from skiing for several years he delved deeper into landscape and portrait photography.
Sam spends his time shooting, printing and framing his fine-art landscapes, photographing people for editorial, advertising, commercial, personal branding, corporate headshots, actors headshots, personal portrait commissions, and the occasional wedding, engagement and special event. Video is also one of his rekindled passions, with a history of working in television – ask about video work with a classic, professional cinematography look and feel.
