Situated in the Canadian Rockies, in the town of Canmore or on top of a mountain somewhere, Sam McRae is here for your photography needs.

Sam’s career began as a ski photographer in Whistler, British Columbia. The pursuit of rugged mountains and high adrenaline skiing led him to the Alps of France where a love of documenting the earth with a Large Format camera began. When a ski injury took him away from skiing for several years he delved deeper into landscape and portrait photography.

Sam spends his time shooting, printing and framing his fine-art landscapes, photographing people for editorial, advertising, corporate headshots, actors headshots, personal portrait commissions, and the occasional wedding, engagement and special event.
