I don’t typically advertise this as a core service, but after a number of requests, and seeing how much of a difference strong images make for bookings, I’ve started taking on a small number of short-term rental shoots in Canmore.
This is a good fit for thoughtfully designed spaces that benefit from clean, natural photography—places where details, light, and layout actually matter to the guest experience.
Why professional photos make a difference:
Most short-term rental listings blend together. Wide-angle snapshots, inconsistent lighting, and rushed compositions make it hard for a space to stand out—even if it’s genuinely well designed.
Strong images do a few simple things well:
They make the space feel calm, clear, and intentional
They help guests understand layout immediately
They build trust before booking
On platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo, that difference often translates directly into better occupancy and the ability to command higher nightly rates.
My approach:
I approach these the same way I approach any interior or architectural work—just scaled appropriately.
- Clean, bright, and balanced compositions
- Minimal distortion (Ultra wide angle is standard for listing photography, making the spaces seem spacious, without going overboard with it.)
- Focus on flow, not just individual rooms.
- The goal isn’t to oversell the space—it’s to represent it at its best, honestly.
What’s included:
A typical session covers:
- All main living areas
- Bedrooms and bathrooms
- Kitchen and dining spaces
- Exterior (season and conditions permitting)
- A few detail images to round out the listing
Enough to fully build out a strong listing without redundancy.
A recent Canmore rental:
I recently photographed a short-term rental here in Canmore that had great bones: good light, and well furnished, but wasn’t translating as well as it could have been online.
After implementing my photography:
The space felt noticeably more open and cohesive
Key features (views, layout, materials) became clearer
The listing presentation aligned more closely with the actual experience
Bookings increased
Based in Canmore, Alberta:
I’m based in Canmore and primarily photograph properties in:
Canmore, and Banff.
